Alarms from banks, jewelry stores and fire protection systems can, for example, pass through the Bosch Communication Center clearing centers before they reach the police and fire department monitoring centers. This center filters maintenance alarms, logins and logouts by technicians as well as network and line malfunctions, amongst other things. This allows more time for authorities to concentrate on their main task — rescuing and protecting people and properties.
In this manner, resources are not only optimally utilized — the procedure also increases security: the clearing centers operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They have fully redundant, failsafe reception technology (2-way message transmission, optionally ISDN + GSM or ISDN + X.31/X21) and are situated at different locations. Consequently, if a police or fire department monitoring center malfunctions, the clearing centers can immediately assume a redundancy function: the alarms do not simply run unanswered, but are routed from the clearing center to the appropriate response operations.
