If people in a stalled elevator signal an emergency, a voice connection - with image transmission, if applicable - is immediately established with the monitoring center. Associates at the monitoring center speak to the people trapped in the elevator and reassure them until help arrives. At the same time, they initiate a fast rescue operation via a nationwide intervention network.
To minimize the liability risk for the operator, associates at the monitoring station will also organize for appointments to be rescheduled or perform other services for the people affected, if required. In addition, the monitoring center informs the elevator maintenance company so that the problem can be resolved quickly. All messages and measures are comprehensively logged.
The Bosch technology used for the elevator emergency call also monitors other technical alarms such as intrusion alarms, heating failures, gas warnings or air-conditioning system failures. This multiple usage makes the technology particularly economical.
