Monitoring of containers
Nowadays, the cargo of a number of sea containers often exceeds a value of a couple of million euros. The Mobile Security Services of Bosch Communication Center allow the logistic companies to reduce the risk of theft and damage significantly. This has a positive impact on the respective insurance premiums. 

In terms of container monitoring, Bosch offers a solution of particular comfort: a plug-and-play module, the so-called Container Security Box (CSB) which can easily be fixed to a customary sea container with a magnet and is automatically activated without need of further set-up. This device, too, combines GSM and GPS technology.

Anytime, the container may be located within an accuracy of a few meters allowing logistic companies to monitor the route of a carried container as well as the observance of a determined storage location. Because the employees of the Monitoring Centers are informed immediately about any anomalies.

As soon as the container is opened without permission, the respective sensors send an alarm to the Bosch Monitoring Centers via CSB. The same applies if a device is removed or damaged. 

Monitoring of vehicles and objects
For the monitoring of vehicles, fix installed devices are used, which besides GSM and GPS technology do even dispose of further functions. The following scenarios are possible.

In case of a hold-up during transport of valuables, the driver activates an unnoticed alarm through an emergency button. The Bosch Monitoring Centers can listen passively into the vehicle and supply the rescue team with crucial information. Hence, a quick and secure rescue is only the push of a button away.

A further example could be a rented car which is not returned. The rental company may locate the vehicle through the Bosch Monitoring Center who will co-ordinate the appropriate measures for restitution of the vehicle.

A yacht which is removed from its port of registry without permission sends a message to the Bosch Monitoring Centers by means of a „Position Lock Alarm“. Their employees inform the responsible port staff immediately. The same principle applies to the supervision of mobile machines used for construction.
